[Duplicity-talk] incremental not working after updating to v7.05 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

I've run the command shown in the screen shot twice, The second time it
delete the signature of the first and claimed it couldn't resume.
(i had a problem where /backup on the destination did not have rights,
which is why you see the 4 permission denied.)

This file is present on the destination along with the previous one (which
was a full backup).

hey Peter,

if it says it can't resume (an interrupted backup), it simply can't. do a new full and you will be able to do incrementals, providing it went through successfully.

i guess what i'm trying to say is that it did a full, then when running a
inc immediately after, it said it couldn't resume and wanted to do another
full.

the previous full did not end in error.

thanks

well, duplicity thought that it was not complete and tried to resume it.. so it wasn't successful after the fact.
do you have a complete log of the "successful" full backup?

usually when run by cron, you would redirect the terminal output to some log file or send it per email or such.

when run interactively you can copy paste or redirect beforehand.
